Check the care instructions and furniture manufacturer’s guidance. Do not assume that water extraction is suitable for leather, delicate textiles or every fabric sofa.
Routine care and stain treatment are different
Follow the maker’s recommendations for everyday care. A persistent spot, unknown material or previous failed treatment deserves an assessment before another product is applied.
What to ask a cleaner
Ask which areas are included, how the material is assessed, what result is realistic, how drying is managed, and what the complete price will be.
Prepare useful photos
A full photo, the care label and a close-up of the affected area are more useful than a description alone. Include size, location and access details when requesting your quote.
